Decis Spaak and Foundation Partner to Boost AI Skills

Decis Spaak has partnered with the Gbenga Fawehinmi Foundation to enhance artificial intelligence (AI) skills development in Africa, targeting to train 10 million individuals. The collaboration was unveiled in Lagos and aims to equip students and young people with practical knowledge in AI and digital skills, preparing them for opportunities in the evolving digital economy.

Philip Adekambi, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Decis Spaak, stated that this initiative is part of the company's broader mission to democratize access to AI knowledge across Africa. The partnership will also establish a $50 million scholarship program to support participants who cannot afford specialized training in business analytics and AI.

The foundation, led by Gbenga Agboola, has spent nearly two decades supporting vulnerable children and young people through scholarships and mentorship programs. The pilot phase will involve select students, with plans to scale to larger groups, ensuring young Africans gain access to emerging technology skills.
