Frank Edoho, the media personality, revealed the reasons behind the conclusion of "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" after 13 years on Nigerian television. During an appearance on The KK Show, he stated that rumors of his dismissal were false and clarified that the show's end was not related to his performance or conduct.

The program ceased after its sponsor, which had supported it for a decade, withdrew due to a significant financial penalty imposed by the Federal Government over a corporate issue. Edoho did not disclose the sponsor's name or details about the penalty but emphasized its impact on the show's continuation.

After a five-year hiatus, the show returned in 2022 with new sponsors, but Edoho was not part of the relaunch, leading to speculation about his departure. He hosted the show from 2004 until his resignation in September 2017 and returned in 2022, dispelling rumors of a permanent end to his association with the program.
