Daniel's Call Reveals Concerns Amid Ekweremadu Case

Daniel, whose testimony was pivotal in the organ harvesting case against former Nigerian Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, made a surprise phone call to his friend Chukwudi from the United Kingdom after more than two years of silence. Chukwudi, who had not heard from Daniel during this period, was shocked yet relieved to receive the call.

Daniel's primary concern was the wellbeing of his family, particularly his sick father, but he expressed that he could not return to Nigeria due to safety fears related to Ekweremadu's connections. Despite his situation, Daniel asked Chukwudi for assistance with his father's medical expenses.

He also shared positive updates about his life, mentioning that he was attending school and sounded well. Ekweremadu and his wife were convicted in the UK in 2023 for conspiring to bring Daniel to Britain for organ harvesting for their daughter suffering from kidney disease.

Daniel had traveled to the UK under false pretenses and later alerted British authorities, which was crucial in securing the convictions.
