Friend Deceives Man into Selling Kidney for Cash

Samuel Ezekiel, a young Nigerian, detailed his harrowing experience of being deceived by his friend Emmanuel Odeh into selling his kidney at Wellington Hospital in Life Camp, Abuja. Ezekiel stated that Odeh changed his identity to “Hassan Abubakar” and assured him they were going to the hospital for a legitimate medical procedure.

After undergoing medical tests, Ezekiel was informed that his kidney matched a recipient, leading to an affidavit being prepared at the Federal High Court. He received payment in dollars shortly before the surgery, which he entrusted to Odeh.

Upon recovery, Ezekiel discovered that Odeh had already exchanged the money and spent part of it on two phones, two power banks, and two Wi-Fi devices. The incident was revealed during a parade of suspects linked to an organ-harvesting syndicate by the Nigeria Police Force in Abuja and Nasarawa State.
