Some individuals are misled into "donating" organs under false pretenses. Medical practitioners exploit the trust of patients, violating ethical and legal duties.

The Nigerian legal framework includes laws against trafficking, unlawful organ removal, and other related offenses. Section 33 of the Constitution guarantees the right to life, while Section 34 protects human dignity.
