FRSC Averts Disaster as Fuel Tanker Crashes in Kaduna

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) successfully averted a disaster in Kaduna when a fuel tanker crashed at a roundabout. The incident occurred early on a Sunday morning, prompting a swift response from FRSC personnel.

The tanker fell at the Nepa roundabout along Ahmadu Bello in Kaduna, raising concerns about a possible fire outbreak and secondary crashes. The Kaduna Sector Command of FRSC received a distress call at 7:15 am reporting the fallen tanker.

The rescue team, including RS1.1 Kaduna, was immediately deployed to the scene to secure the area and prevent further accidents. Traffic was diverted to alternative routes to ease congestion within the metropolis.

The FRSC worked in collaboration with the Federal Fire Service and the Nigerian Police Force to ensure public safety. This successful operation follows a similar incident averted in Kogi State in October 2025 when a fuel-laden truck had a mishap along the Felele Expressway.
