FRSC Cautions Motorists Nationwide on Hazy Weather and Poor Visibility

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has issued a nationwide caution to motorists regarding prevailing hazy weather conditions leading to poor visibility in several parts of the country. The FRSC's Public Education Officer, Olusegun Ogungbemide, highlighted the dangers of reduced visibility caused by dust haze, urging drivers to exercise caution, obey speed limits, maintain safe distances, and ensure proper vehicle lighting.

The Corps Marshal of the FRSC, Shehu Moham, stressed the need for strict compliance with traffic regulations, advising drivers to drive defensively, avoid dangerous practices like wrong overtaking and speeding, and prioritize passenger safety, especially in commercial vehicles. The FRSC also recommended keeping windshields clean, ensuring wipers function well, and complying fully with road safety regulations during hazy conditions to prevent accidents.
