Atiku Abubakar to Sign Fuel Subsidy Contract with Nigerians

Ralph Nwosu, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), stated that the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, will provide Nigerians with a detailed subsidy removal policy. Nwosu mentioned that Atiku will enter into a formal agreement with Nigerians regarding petrol prices.

This announcement was made during an appearance on Arise Television’s Daybreak on Thursday. Nwosu emphasized that Atiku would make a clear commitment to the public before assuming office, stating, “Atiku will sign a contract.” He indicated that this proposed agreement would outline specific commitments concerning fuel prices and other elements of Atiku’s economic program.

Nwosu also revealed that the ADC is already developing policies for Atiku's early months in office if elected, including a program for the first 100 days. This initiative aims to ensure that Atiku’s campaign promises are supported by well-defined plans, avoiding "reckless statements.".
