Fury Confirms Joshua Fight at Madison Square Garden

Tyson Fury announced on Instagram that his heavyweight fight against British-Nigerian Anthony Joshua will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York, resolving venue uncertainty. No specific date was mentioned, but November 20 is understood to be the target date.

Both fighters have signed contracts with Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority. Joshua's team initially insisted on a UK venue, but negotiations led by his promoter, Eddie Hearn, allowed for the fight to move to the US.

Hearn expressed concerns about the tax implications of staging the fight in America but acknowledged the need for a solution that works for all parties. The announcement faced criticism from fans who preferred a UK location like Wembley Stadium.

Fury, 38, has a professional record of 36 wins, while Joshua recently won a bout against Kristian Prenga in Jeddah on July 25, which facilitated discussions for this fight.
