FUTA Teaching Hospital to Sue Staff Over Job Fraud

The Federal University of Technology Akure Teaching Hospital has vowed to pursue legal action against staff members allegedly involved in employment racketeering. According to a statement from Mr.

Tope Fayehun, head of the public relations unit, the management became aware that certain individuals were posing as important officials, collecting money from unsuspecting job seekers in exchange for fake appointment letters. These fraudulent activities reportedly involved sums ranging from N200,000 to N600,000.

The hospital management received complaints from affected job seekers, whose names have been withheld, demanding refunds from the fraudsters. It was clarified that these individuals would not be absorbed into the federal government establishment as promised.

The management declared that it has no option but to take appropriate legal action against the alleged fraudsters and will provide relevant information to law enforcement and anti-corruption agencies.
