Gadzama Honors Late Prof Kasunmu's Legal Legacy

Joe-Kyari Gadzama honored the late Professor Alfred Bandele Kasunmu, SAN, recognizing him as a distinguished member of the Nigerian Bar. Gadzama, who had contested against Kasunmu in various legal matters, praised his professionalism, dignity, and commitment to the legal profession.

He recalled attending meetings of the Body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria in Lagos, where Kasunmu served as Chairman, noting his authoritative and composed leadership style. Gadzama emphasized that Kasunmu's influence extended beyond the courtroom, enriched by mutual connections, including a colleague named Spencer.

He described Kasunmu's era as one where law was viewed as a calling demanding integrity and responsibility. Gadzama asserted that Kasunmu's contributions would be remembered not just for the cases he argued but for his commitment to professional standards.

He joined others in mourning Kasunmu's passing, celebrating his life and contributions to the dignity of the Nigerian legal profession, and prayed for his soul to rest in peace.
