Gbenga Elegbeleye Wins APC Senate Ticket for Ondo North

Gbenga Elegbeleye has emerged as the winner of the APC senatorial ticket for Ondo North, demonstrating his enduring political relevance and grassroots acceptance. His victory is celebrated across political and sports circles, reflecting years of public service and loyalty.

Elegbeleye currently serves as the chairman of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), where he has earned respect for restoring structure and credibility to Nigerian domestic football. His leadership style is noted for its calmness and strategic approach, which has strengthened confidence in the league.

Previously, he was the director general of the National Sports Commission and a member of the House of Representatives. In 2018, he made history as the first Nigerian to lead the country's delegation to the Winter Olympics in South Korea.
