Nigerian Army Commissions Educational Projects in Lagos

The Nigerian Army commissioned several educational projects at Command Day Secondary School in Oshodi, Lagos, during the school's 2026 Valedictory Service and Prize-Giving Day. Major General A.A.

Babalola, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division, emphasized the Army's commitment to improving the welfare of personnel's children through infrastructure development. He commended the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General W. Shaibu, for prioritizing soldiers' welfare.

Babalola noted that the newly inaugurated facilities, including a Computer-Based Test (CBT) Centre and various classroom improvements, would benefit both military families and the Oshodi community. Lieutenant Colonel D.S.

Yakubu, Commandant of the school, described the event as a celebration of academic excellence and character development, highlighting the theme "Rooted in Discipline, Soaring Toward Excellence." The projects completed included the construction of desks, a Mathematics Laboratory, and improvements to water supply and classroom facilities.
