Gombe Govt, Association of NGOs Engage Citizens’ On 2024 Budget Accountability

The Gombe State Government, in collaboration with the Association of Non-Governmental Organizations (ANGOs), has initiated efforts to enhance transparency and accountability in governance by engaging citizens on the 2024 budget. The community feedback session, held in Kumo Akko Local Government Area, provided a platform for stakeholders to give input on budget performance.

The Secretary of ANGO, Malam Yahaya Mohammed, urged participants to actively contribute and follow up with relevant ministries to ensure proper budget implementation. Musa Ahmad Mahdi, representing the Office of the Accountant General, highlighted the government's prioritization of critical sectors like agriculture, health, and education in the 2024 budget.

Participants commended the government's commitment to transparency and good governance, noting that citizen engagement in budget accountability is crucial for meeting the needs of the people and promoting state development.
