Alia Nominates Six Commissioners for Benue State Assembly

On Tuesday, Benue State Governor Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia submitted the names of six commissioner-nominees to the Benue State House of Assembly for consideration and confirmation. This action follows the resignation of some executive council members who left their positions to contest various elective offices during the primary elections.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of the Assembly, Zape Upaa, communicated this in a statement. The letter addressed to the Speaker, Rt Hon Alfred Aondoaver Emberga, indicated that the governor's intention was to strengthen the State Executive Council and enhance the administration's expertise and capacity.

The nominees are Kuma Aii Yenge, Roy Ashirga Terna, Angwa Egbe Monday, Elizabeth Onma Ogenyi, Solomon Iorpev, and Nick Eworo. The governor urged the House to give the nominees prompt and favorable consideration in line with its constitutional responsibilities.

This submission is part of the Alia administration's efforts to consolidate its cabinet and improve service delivery across Benue State.
