Taraba Governor Launches NIN Enrollment Data Machines

On a recent weekend, Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State officially launched the distribution of 25 data capturing machines to bolster the enrollment process for the National Identification Number (NIN) in the state. The event took place at the Ty Danjuma House in Jalingo, where Governor Kefas reaffirmed his administration's commitment to strengthening the national enrollment process across Taraba.

This initiative is notable as it marks the first time in the state's history that the government has provided substantial support to the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC). Mr.

Serah Babangida, the Taraba State Coordinator of the NIMC, expressed deep gratitude to the governor for supplying the equipment, emphasizing that this intervention will significantly enhance the commission's capacity to enroll residents into the national identity database. This gesture represents a historical milestone and demonstrates the government's strong commitment to inclusive governance and the expansion of digital identification initiatives, aligning with the federal government's efforts to build a robust digital public infrastructure.
