Ebonyi Governor Nwifuru Reshuffles Cabinet for Efficiency

Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State conducted a significant cabinet reshuffle, announcing the redeployment of several commissioners during a press briefing following a State Executive Council meeting. This move aims to strengthen governance and consolidate the achievements of his administration.

Barr Ikeuwa Omebeh informed that two new commissioners, Professor Omari Omaka and Hon Sylvest Nwenu Nwite, were sworn in as special assistants. The reshuffle includes the reassignment of various commissioners: Chidieber Onya to the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development, Dr.

Ngozi Obichukwu to the Ministry of Aviation and Special Projects, and Hon Sylvest Nwenu Nwite to head the Ministry of Environment. Other notable changes include Professor Omari Omaka overseeing the Ministry of Tertiary Education and Prince Richard Idik moving to Youth and Sports Development.

Governor Nwifuru emphasized that the reshuffle is not a reflection of non-performance but rather a strategy to enhance efficiency and better utilize the expertise of the appointees for the state's benefit.
