Nwifuru Reshuffles Ebonyi Cabinet, Swears in New Commissioners

On Tuesday, following a State Executive Council meeting in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru announced a cabinet reshuffle aimed at strengthening government operations and improving service delivery. The reshuffle included the swearing-in of two new commissioners: Omari Omaka, appointed as Commissioner for Tertiary Education, and Sylvest Nwenu Nwite, assigned to head the Ministry of Environment.

Several existing commissioners were redeployed to different ministries, including Chidieber Onyia to the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development and Ajuka Obasi Nwogo to the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development. Governor Nwifuru urged the newly appointed officials to serve selflessly and contribute to the implementation of the administration's agenda.

The reshuffle is intended to inject fresh energy into the government and enhance policy implementation across ministries, with a deadline set for the completion of the process by June 30, 2026.
