Nwifuru Charges New Ebonyi Council Chairmen on Governance

On Tuesday, during the swearing-in ceremony at the Christian Ecumenical Centre in Abakaliki, Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru addressed the newly elected council chairmen and vice chairmen of Ebonyi State. He tasked them with extending development and good governance to the grassroots, highlighting the significant responsibilities they have undertaken.

Nwifuru reminded them of their oath to obey the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and described their roles as a sacrifice and a call to serve the people of their local governments. He insisted that the chairmen must implement the party's manifesto and protect the interests of the All Progressives Congress (APC), stating, “We will not leave any position for another party.” Additionally, he urged the vice chairmen to cooperate with the chairmen and fulfill their assigned responsibilities diligently, emphasizing the need for respect and teamwork.
