Kano Deputy Governor Promotes Open-Door Policy for Citizens

The Kano State Government, through Deputy Governor Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, reiterated its commitment to an open-door policy aimed at addressing citizens' demands and concerns across the three senatorial districts. Garo made this statement while receiving members of the Voice of Kano South Forum, which represents the 16 local government areas of Kano South.

He emphasized the importance of peace, unity, and collaboration among communities for meaningful development. Garo commended the forum for recognizing the administration's efforts and encouraged continued advocacy for regional progress.

He acknowledged contributions from notable figures in the senatorial district and assured that the government would undertake more development projects while maintaining stakeholder consultations. Barrister Sabi’u Abdullahi Usman Babiri, the forum's leader, expressed gratitude for various infrastructure projects, including the construction of the Dan-Soshiya Dam and the establishment of Gaya Polytechnic.

The forum also requested the rehabilitation of a major road linking several local government areas.
