Governor Yusuf Enforces Traffic Regulations in Kano

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano state personally supervised traffic compliance at Kofar Fanfo Junction in Kano metropolis, spending over one hour ensuring that motorists obeyed traffic light signals. Accompanied by the Secretary to the State Government, commissioners, and other senior officials, the exercise aimed to restore discipline and order on Kano roads.

Yusuf directed all road users, including motorists, commercial drivers, tricycle operators, and pedestrians, to strictly comply with traffic regulations, highlighting the importance of adherence to traffic lights for the safety of lives and property. He announced plans to reposition the Kano Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA) to function effectively as a professional traffic management agency focused on road user safety.

The governor expressed his commitment to creating a safer and more efficient transportation system and warned that traffic offenders should be monitored and punished to ensure that the newly installed traffic lights are utilized properly.
