Governor Dauda Lawal Boosts Support for Federal University Gusau

Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State reaffirmed his administration's commitment to enhancing support for the Federal University Gusau (FUGUS) during a courtesy visit to the university's governing council in Abuja. He highlighted the critical role of FUGUS in advancing the state's development agenda and promised to carefully consider the requests presented by the university.

Among these requests was the need for additional state intervention in infrastructure development and the provision of official vehicles. Governor Lawal also revealed that a contract for a pedestrian bridge had already been awarded but expressed concern over the contractor's delay in commencing work.
