Griezmann Signs Two-Year Deal with Orlando City for July Move

Antoine Griezmann, Atletico Madrid's all-time record goalscorer, will leave the club to join Orlando City in July after agreeing to a two-year contract. The announcement was made on Tuesday.

Griezmann, who is 35 years old, hopes to conclude his tenure at Atletico with a significant achievement, marking his 10th season with the club. He previously won the Europa League with Atletico in 2018.

The club is set to face Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-finals next month and will compete in the Copa del Rey final against Real Sociedad on April 18. Griezmann, who retired from international football in 2024, scored 44 goals in 137 appearances for France.

He joined Atletico in 2014 from Real Sociedad, made 488 appearances, and returned to the club in 2021 after a stint at Barcelona. Orlando City owner Mark Wilf emphasized the club's commitment to building a championship-caliber roster, and Griezmann's addition reflects this mission.
