Rivers Women Unite for Sim Urges PVC Registration for Elections

Rivers Women Unite for Sim (RWUS), a political-pressure group in Rivers State loyal to Governor Siminalayi Fubara, called on women to obtain their permanent voter’s card (PVC) in preparation for the 2027 general election. The Convener, Sotonye Toby-Fulton, emphasized the importance of PVCs during the group's monthly prayer meeting in Port Harcourt, themed ‘Peace Be Still’.

She urged women to replace temporary cards with permanent ones, stating, “Your PVC is your power to make a difference.” Toby-Fulton also warned against vote selling, encouraging women to remain calm and resilient amid political challenges. Adata Bio-Briggs, a leader in the group and former Chairperson of the Federation of International Women Lawyers (FIDA) in Rivers State, echoed the call for women to secure their PVCs to ensure their participation in the electoral process and to foster the change they seek.
