Gunmen Abduct Two Residents in Ogun State

On Thursday night at 7 PM, gunmen abducted two residents in the Kobap area of Obafemi Owode Local Government Area, Ogun State. The victims were identified as Kelvin Ayobami Moyegun and Kehind Rufai.

During the incident, Al Haqq Shobakin was shot and is currently receiving medical care at a private hospital in Abeokuta. Olayinka Obadimu, another resident, attempted to confront the kidnappers but was forced to retreat amid gunfire.

The Ogun State Police Command, represented by DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, confirmed the abduction and stated that security agencies, including the Amotekun Corps and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, have been alerted. Babaseyi mentioned that operations are underway to rescue the victims and arrest the kidnappers, with the police's anti-kidnap unit actively involved.

This incident follows a recent operation where two kidnappers were killed during the rescue of another victim in the area.
