Gunmen Kill Female Usher in Rivers State Bolt Ride Attack

On March 21, 2026, at approximately 4:30 PM, Divin Anyanwu, a female usher, was shot and killed in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, during a Bolt ride. The incident occurred along Odili Road when unknown gunmen, reportedly following the vehicle in a tricycle, opened fire.

Anyanwu was with a friend, and after sustaining gunshot injuries, she was rushed to BMH Hospital, where she was later confirmed dead. Grace Iring Koko, the spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, announced that the police are conducting a full-scale investigation into the murder.

The police have condemned the act and assured the public that those responsible will be brought to justice. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further forensic investigation.
