Gunmen Kill Lagos NURTW Organizing Secretary Toba Ajiboy

Toba Ajiboy, known as Ijaya, was the organizing secretary of the Lagos State Council of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW). He was shot and killed by unidentified gunmen on Sunday night as he returned to his childhood neighborhood in Fadeyi.

Reports indicate that the assailants intercepted his vehicle around Ikorodu Road and opened fire, leaving the car riddled with bullet holes. Initial reports suggested that Ajiboy survived the attack but sustained gunshot wounds; however, subsequent reports confirmed his death.

Alhaji Mustapha Adekunle, the chairman of NURTW Lagos State Council, expressed deep sorrow over Ajiboy's passing, describing him as a loyal ally and steadfast friend. Adekunle paid tribute to Ajiboy on Facebook, noting his commitment and dedication to the union and stating that he would be greatly missed.

The NURTW extended condolences to Ajiboy's family and friends, emphasizing the profound loss felt within the union.
