Kebbi Registers 3,257 Pilgrims for 2027 Hajj

The Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency (KSPWA) has successfully registered 3,257 intending pilgrims for the 2027 Hajj, which represents 95 percent of the allocation for the state, the highest among all states in Nigeria. KSPWA has remitted N2.5 billion in Hajj fares to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) as part of the preparations for the pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.

Faruk Aliyu Yaro Enabo, the Executive Chairman of KSPWA, provided these statistics during a courtesy visit from a NAHCON delegation to Governor Nasir Idris at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi. Enabo indicated that Kebbi would remit an additional N5 billion to NAHCON shortly to meet the September 26, 2026 deadline for registration closure set by Saudi authorities.

He urged remaining pilgrims who made individual deposits of N5 million to complete their payments and emphasized that medical screenings for intending pilgrims are ongoing, adhering to Saudi health requirements.
