Umar Sani Mocks Wike Over PDP Leadership Crisis

Umar Sani, a chieftain of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), mocked Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, following Wike's media outburst on Wednesday. Sani criticized Wike for failing to clarify the ongoing leadership crisis within the PDP and for not addressing the accusations of fraudulent conduct against top party figures, including Seyi Makinde, Adolphu Wabara, Jerri Gana, and Aminu Turaki.

Sani claimed that Wike attempted to justify the legitimacy of a faction within the party amid the lingering crisis. He spoke on Thursday during an appearance on Arise Television's morning show, where he stated that Wike's decision to address Nigerian loyalists did not gain public acceptance.

Sani pointed out Wike's struggle to explain the legal and political developments surrounding the PDP crisis, particularly regarding the conflict involving court judgments. Wike had moved to refer the matter to the Federal High Court in Ibadan and the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal without providing clarity on the actual situation within the party.
