Senator Hanga Explains Split from Kwankwaso Over Disagreements

Senator Hanga, representing Kano Central Senatorial District, revealed the reasons behind his departure from former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. The senator indicated that their relationship soured due to disagreements over Hanga's political activities and empowerment programs, which included distributing vehicles, rice, fertilizer, and other items to constituents.

During an interview with Dan’uwa Rano TV, Hanga recounted a specific incident during an empowerment event where Kwankwaso, who had initially agreed to attend, arrived visibly unhappy and left after requesting prayers. Kwankwaso later confronted Hanga, expressing displeasure over not being involved in the distribution of items, stating, “You came distributing things because people are praising you.” Hanga attempted to apologize and resolve the conflict but noted that this incident contributed to their eventual separation.

He also mentioned that Kwankwaso had previously requested that certain individuals be included in Hanga's empowerment schemes, which further complicated their relationship.
