Senator Rufai Hanga Resigns from Nigerian Democratic Congress

Senator Rufai Hanga, who serves as the Deputy Minority Whip of the Senate and represents the Kano Central Senatorial District, officially resigned from the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) on August 3, 2026. In a letter addressed to the Ward Chairman of the NDC, Hanga stated that his decision was made after careful reflection and personal deliberation.

He indicated that he would be withdrawing his membership from the party to pursue other personal commitments and career paths.
