NANS Urges Oluremi Tinubu to Help Free Abducted Students

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has called on Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of Nigeria, to leverage her influence during her state visit to Ekiti to advocate for the immediate release of teachers and students abducted in Oyo State. This appeal follows a coordinated attack on Baptist Nursery Primary School and Grammar School in the Oriir Local Government Area, which resulted in the abduction of several individuals.

In a statement issued by Kayod Adeyemo, the NANS South West Zone Coordinator, the association expressed deep concern for the families affected and the community's trauma. Despite ongoing rescue efforts by security agencies, many victims remain in captivity.

NANS emphasized the need for sustained attention and intensified actions to ensure the safe return of all abducted individuals. The organization also urged the federal government to prioritize the security of students nationwide, advocating for a safe educational environment free from fear.
