Herdsmen Attack: Amakohia-Ubi Residents Cry Out In Fear

Residents of Amakohia-Ubi in Owerri West Local Government Area, Imo State, are living in fear after a brutal attack by suspected herdsmen that left four people dead. The community is traumatized and scarred by the recent violence, with one resident recounting how local vigilantes confronted the herdsmen, resulting in one vigilante being killed and another injured.

The residents are calling on Governor Hope Uzodimma and security agencies to intervene and protect them from further attacks. A trader from the community, speaking anonymously, expressed the fear and loss experienced by the villagers.

The situation has led to many villagers deserting their homes, with a commercial cyclist highlighting the lack of safety in the area. The residents are pleading for government intervention to chase away the bandits and restore safety to the community.
