ADC Blames Tinubu Administration for El-Rufai's Safety

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has declared that the administration of President Bola Tinubu will be held responsible if anything occurs to former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai while he remains in state custody. Bolaji Abdullahi, the National Publicity Secretary of the ADC, made this statement during an interview on Symfoni TV.

Abdullahi emphasized that El-Rufai's detention is not based on legal grounds but is politically motivated. He stated, “If anything happens to El-Rufai while he remains in state custody, President Bola Tinubu and his administration will bear full responsibility.” Abdullahi further argued that El-Rufai is being held not for any crime but to prevent his participation in the elections and to weaken the opposition.

He noted that El-Rufai had previously supported Tinubu when others in the Muhammadu Buhari cabinet did not.
