Nigeria's Foreign Affairs Minister Attends EurAfrican Forum

Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu, the Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, arrived in Lisbon, Portugal, to participate in the 2026 EurAfrican Forum, which is scheduled to take place from July 15 to 16, 2026, at the Nova School of Business and Economics. The EurAfrican Forum aims to bring together heads of state, ministers, policymakers, business leaders, and stakeholders from both Africa and Europe to deliberate on strategic issues that shape cooperation between the two continents.

The 2026 edition will focus on human capital, trade, investment, energy, infrastructure, geopolitics, and innovative technology. During the forum, Ambassador Ojukwu is scheduled to deliver an opening address during a high-level geopolitics session on July 16, 2026, themed "Africa and Europe Navigating Global Geopolitical Turmoil." This session will examine evolving global geopolitical dynamics and opportunities to strengthen Africa-Europe cooperation to advance peace, security, and sustainable development.

The Honourable Minister is also expected to hold bilateral engagements with senior government officials and business leaders to advance Nigeria's foreign policy objectives, promote economic diplomacy, attract investment, and deepen strategic partnerships with Portugal.
