GRIP Optimistic About INEC Registration After Verification

Nze Kanayo Chukwumezie, the National Chairperson of the Grassroots Initiative Party (GRIP), announced on Thursday that he is hopeful the party will soon achieve full political party status from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). This optimism follows a successful verification of the party's documents and national headquarters located in Utako, Abuja.

Chukwumezie stated that this verification is the final stage in the registration process, which began with provisional approval from INEC last year. He noted that INEC officials visited to verify the submitted claims and documents.

Chukwumezie expressed confidence that GRIP would receive its certificate of registration within weeks, depending on INEC's approval process. He emphasized that the party is not rushing to participate in immediate elections, focusing instead on building a credible political platform for ordinary Nigerians.

GRIP aims to provide opportunities for young citizens lacking financial resources and is funded through membership fees rather than wealthy sponsors. Chukwumezie acknowledged the challenges of fundraising but highlighted the commitment of members to the party's vision.
