23 Lives Lost in Sokoto and Kebbi Road Accidents
On Monday night, a road accident in Sokoto State resulted in the deaths of 18 individuals when a commercial bus collided head-on with a trailer along the Sokoto-Yauri road. The bus, carrying 20 passengers, was returning from Lagos in search of livelihood when the crash occurred around 11 PM.

In a separate incident in Kebbi State, five youths died when their Toyota Sienna lost control and somersaulted along the airport road in Birnin Kebbi.
Governor Nasir Idris, represented by Abubakar Umar Dutsinmari, visited the scene and announced compensation of N20 million for the families of the deceased and N1 million for the injured.
