Three Women Arrested for Selling Child in Anambra

The Anambra State Police Command announced the arrest of three female suspects involved in the sale of a four-year-old child for N2 million. The suspects, identified as Ms.

Florence Nnakuzi (45 years old), Hannah Ugah (52 years old), and Chinasa Daniel (27 years old), were apprehended on July 11, 2026, at a motor park in Onitsha. The police operation was conducted by the Awada Division Headquarters.

The investigation revealed that Chinasa Daniel had allegedly brought two children, including a two-week-old baby and the four-year-old child, to Hannah Ugah on separate occasions. Subsequently, the four-year-old child was handed over to Ms.

Florence Nnakuzi, who allegedly sold the child for the sum of N2 million. The police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
