Atiku and Amaechi's Roles in Democratic Alliance Registration

Umar Ardo revealed the roles of Atiku Abubakar and Rotimi Amaechi in the registration of the Democratic Alliance (ADA) during a television interview on Wednesday. Ardo stated that Amaechi chaired the committee responsible for the registration process, while Atiku was nominated to serve as the committee's secretary.

According to Ardo, the idea of registering ADA was strongly advocated within the opposition coalition, but interest waned among coalition members. Subsequently, Amaechi aligned with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and indicated his intention to contest for the presidency on that platform.

Despite this shift, Ardo emphasized the importance of proceeding with the ADA registration, suggesting that necessary documents should be resubmitted to facilitate the process. He noted that Amaechi's nomination as chairman and Atiku's as secretary were agreed upon, and highlighted the need to ensure that the registration of ADA was not prematurely halted.
