Rivers State Administrator Saves ₦5 Billion Through Staff Verification Exercise

During the 2025 Civil Service Week Celebration at the Obi Wali International Conference Centre in Port Harcourt, Ibas, the sole administrator of Rivers State, revealed how he saved ₦5 billion from the August salary bill. He explained that a staff verification exercise helped identify and remove impostors from the government payroll.

The recovered funds will be channeled into developmental projects benefiting the people of Rivers State. Ibas emphasized the importance of a revitalized civil service and ongoing transformative reforms to enhance welfare and bridge wage gaps in Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
