Senator Natasha's Daughter Raises Funds for Orphanage

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, revealed how her 16-year-old daughter, Nadia, successfully raised funds to establish an orphanage home. In a post on her verified Facebook handle, Natasha explained that she intentionally took a backseat to enable Nadia to take ownership of the project, which began in the middle of the previous year.

Natasha stated, “I deliberately stayed in the background because I wanted her to own the dream, the effort, the challenges and, ultimately, the joy of seeing it become real.” She only stepped in towards the end of the fundraising process when Nadia faced difficulties, sharing a donation link with friends who contributed to the cause. Natasha expressed immense pride in her daughter for transforming her concern for vulnerable children into a tangible project that would provide them with a home, stating, “Watching my 16-year-old daughter turn compassion into a home for children fills my heart with more pride than words can express.”.
