Tinubu Promises Security Restructuring and Prosperity

On Tuesday in Abuja, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu met with the leadership of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria (CBCN), led by President Most Rev. Matthew Ndagoso.

During the meeting, Tinubu assured that the ongoing restructuring of Nigeria's security operations aims to effectively combat terrorism, banditry, and kidnappings. He highlighted the government's focus on enhanced intelligence gathering, improved logistical support, and prioritizing the welfare of frontline personnel.

Tinubu called on religious leaders to condemn violent attacks and support government efforts against insurgency. He announced the expansion of the armed forces, acquisition of new equipment, and construction of new barracks.

Additionally, he discussed poverty alleviation measures, including the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), and expressed confidence in the recovery of the economy. Tinubu urged citizens to engage with government initiatives and emphasized the importance of unity and stability for Nigeria's future.
