NAFRC Graduates 812 Retired Military Personnel in Lagos

The Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre (NAFRC) in Oshodi, Lagos, held a graduation ceremony for 812 retired military personnel on Thursday, marking a significant step in modernizing military retirement. The ceremony showcased ongoing efforts to prepare service members for life beyond the barracks through vocational training and entrepreneurship education.

The curriculum has been expanded to include digital entrepreneurship, agribusiness, renewable energy, and information technology, reflecting a commitment to equip personnel with skills needed for economic independence after active service. Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, Chief of Air Staff, and Air Vice Marshal Abubakar Abdul Suleh, Command Logistics Command, attended the event, celebrating the courage and dedication of the retirees.

The program, which lasts six months, aims to provide valuable tools for post-service life. Air Vice Marshal Nnaemeka Ignatius Ilo, representing the NAFRC, reaffirmed the center's commitment to enhancing personnel welfare and adapting training to align with current economic realities.
