FAAN Upgrades Pilgrim Terminal at Lagos Airport

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), under the leadership of Olubunmi Kuku, has successfully upgraded the Pilgrim Terminal Building at Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos. This transformation aims to provide intending pilgrims with a comfortable, dignified, and secure travel experience.

The upgraded terminal features a 300-seat passenger waiting area, enhanced VIP and VVIP lounges, free high-speed Wi-Fi, and a fully air-conditioned mosque. Additionally, improved screening and scanning equipment have been installed to bolster security and streamline passenger processing.

The project has garnered commendation from Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, and Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the Chairman of the FAAN Board, who both inspected the facility and expressed satisfaction with the quality of work. Keyamo emphasized that the upgrade aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, focusing on improving public infrastructure and enhancing services for Nigerians.
