Prophet Olu-Alo Calls for Unity to Combat Insecurity

Prophet Olu-Alo, the founder of Christ Apostolic Church CAC Adamimogo Grace Merci Prayer Mountain Worldwide, has called for greater unity among stakeholders to address the escalating insecurity in South-West Nigeria. In an interview, he attributed the worsening security situation partly to the political insincerity of individuals allegedly sponsoring criminal elements.

He noted that the intensification of military operations against terrorists in Northern Nigeria has led to these groups seeking alternative locations, increasing security concerns in the South-West, which he described as one of the weakest points in Nigeria's security landscape. Olu-Alo highlighted the lucrative nature of kidnapping, exacerbated by weak legal sanctions and lengthy judicial processes.

He urged the government to strengthen laws and improve data management and surveillance systems, advocating for the installation of CCTV cameras in strategic locations. He stressed the importance of community involvement and the role of local hunters and religious leaders in tackling insecurity, calling for a collective responsibility to report suspicious activities.
