Lagos Youth Climate Action Fund Offers Grants Up to $5,000

The Lagos Youth Climate Action Fund, an initiative supported by the Lagos State Government and Bloomberg Philanthropies, is offering grants ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 to young people in Lagos with innovative ideas to combat climate change. Tokunbo Wahab, the Lagos State Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, announced the initiative on his X handle, encouraging youth to seize this opportunity to contribute to a greener and more resilient Lagos.

Eligible youth groups, comprising individuals aged 15 to 24 years, can apply for microgrants to implement their climate action projects. Interested participants must attend a pre-launch information webinar scheduled for August 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., where they will receive guidance on eligibility, project requirements, and application procedures.

The initiative aims to empower youth participation in addressing local climate priorities and transforming innovative ideas into impactful solutions for Lagos.
