JAMB Releases 2026 UTME Results for Underage Candidates

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results specifically for underage candidates. An underage candidate is defined as any applicant who will be below 16 years of age as of September 30, 2026.

To check their results, candidates must use the phone number they registered with for the UTME and send the word “RESULT” as a text message to either 55019 or 66019. Results will be sent back via SMS shortly after.

JAMB has clarified that viewing the result does not automatically qualify a candidate for admission. Only candidates who meet the conditions for exceptional admission, which include achieving a minimum UTME score of 320 and at least 80 percent in relevant subjects in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination, can use their scores for admission purposes.

Candidates not meeting these criteria have been warned against presenting their results to institutions or individuals to obtain admission outside the approved process.
