Lagos Building Collapse Claims Nine Lives, Survivors Speak Out

In Lagos, shop owners recounted their narrow escape from a building collapse that resulted in the deaths of nine individuals. The incident occurred around 9 AM on a Thursday when workers from a Chinese company were preparing for a delivery.

One lady, who was supposed to deliver a job at noon, arrived early and was told to wait a little longer. Within five minutes of her departure, the building collapsed.

Witnesses reported that there had been visible cracks in the walls of the building the previous week, which the landlord had been informed about, but no action was taken. The shop owners expressed gratitude for their survival despite the loss of their businesses and machinery.

They lamented the devastation faced by the families of the deceased and emphasized the importance of prioritizing life over material wealth.
