Super Falcons' WAFCON Win Boosts Confidence for World Cup

Oluwatosin Demehin, a defender for the Super Falcons, stated that winning the 10th Women Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) will significantly enhance the team's confidence as they aim for greater achievements. Demehin, who plays for Galatasaray Sportif Women in Turkey, emphasized that the victory in the tournament, where Nigeria has been crowned champions ten times, instills a sense of pride and motivation among the players.

She noted that the team's hard work and collaboration are crucial for continued success. Demehin is set to play a key role in the Super Falcons' mission at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, which will take place in Australia and New Zealand.

The team is preparing to compete against 16 other teams, and Demehin believes that their recent success will strengthen their resolve. Additionally, Omorinsola Babajid from Roma, Italy, joined the Super Falcons camp in Casablanca, with 12 players already present following the arrival of new Inter Milan Women signing Toni Payn.
