Newcastle's Saudi Backers Remain Committed, Says Howe

Eddie Howe, the 48-year-old manager of Newcastle United, stated that the club's Saudi backers, represented by Yasir Al-Rumayyan, the governor of Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), are fully committed to Newcastle's efforts to establish itself among the best in the world. Al-Rumayyan, who chairs the Premier League club and holds an 85% stake, engaged in constructive discussions with Howe.

Despite PIF's recent withdrawal from a multi-billion dollar backing of LIV Golf, which has raised questions about their financial support, Howe expressed confidence in their commitment to the club's vision since taking control in October 2021. He acknowledged the disappointment of Newcastle's current Premier League campaign, where the team is positioned 14th and has faced nine defeats in 12 games.

Howe emphasized the need to focus on winning games and maintaining a long-term vision for the club's success.
